Okay, I don't know if they're ALL great, but I am excited about so many appealing films coming out over the next few months - Antonement (we're a little behind, but I hear it's good ), The Golden Age, Lars and the Real Woman (laughed SO hard at the trailer - hope it's good cause I'm going), Penelope, I Could Never be your Woman, and, just in time for the holidays, Sweeney Todd with Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Alan Rickman. I haven't been this excited about the movies since Becoming Jane!
Sweeney Todd will definitely be on my must-see list. I've seen a couple quick clips of JD, and can't WAIT to see him in this. He sings - who knew? Is there anything that guy can't do? I knew he was in a band back in the day, but I didn't know he sang - I thought he was just a musician.
While I liked movies like Beetlejuice and Pee Wee's Big Adventure, I've found the rest of his stuff to be pastiche and lukewarm. His dark humor is neither and while there's great artistic styles to his movie, they don't really mean much when the stories are dull.
This has been another random act of nonsense.
