without whiskers! ;D I'll have to finish this off Friday evening as it's theatre group tonight. The painting takes quite a while to get the actual likeness to the individual cat but once that's there I'm okay - then start to enjoy it.
I've amended the eyes slightly and managed to put in invisible whiskers!! Couldn't see them at all from the photo I'd been given! I'll be sending it to my colleague during the week. Did I tell you, whilst I'm painting at one desk I have the pc on the other desk with Monarch dvd's playing!! What could be better than that? ;D
Yes, absolutely. I took it from a photo that Caro had sent me on an email. I've altered the background somewhat. I start off with measuring and drawing it in pencil to make sure the proportions are correct and then start with the acrylic paints. Glad you like it!
You are such lovely boglies, thank you everso much for your comments.
As a youngster I had a choice of going to art college and making a career of art which meant going away from home or carrying on with a secretarial course and staying at home. I never had the nerve in those days to leave my mum and dad so I did the secretarial course. I'm really enjoying painting as a hobby.
You've really done a fantastic job, Marie!! The paws and the tips of the ears are so realistic--you'd swear you were looking at a photo!
I love his expression, you've captured something very endearing in Caro's little dog--in our home, our Papillion, Angelo tilts his head like that when we mention things that are special to him, like going for a ride or walk, CHICKEN , & the name of one of my (his favorite) aunts.
What a great treasure for Caro & her family to enjoy!
