Lexie couldn't see herself as Queen of Glenbogle as portrayed in the magazine! She tried her very best to make the Clan Gathering a perfect one.
That horrible Charles MacDonald did all he could to upset things, picking fault with all that Lexie did.
I thought Paul looked gorgeous and he was so sensitive with Amanda, they really made a handsome pair together, shame she wasn't in more episodes I thought.
Losing the ashes of Amanda's deceased father, what a big mess up.
Duncan was brilliant in this one, firstly trying to plumb in the washing machine when at last he had a chance to be with Jess on her own in Golly's croft. Then on 'gate duty' - Jess marching down the lane and giving him a very long kiss - Duncan clicking away on the barrier remote - everyone getting mixed up - great fun. Golly's anger!
Was watching 5:9 last night and am quite confused with the whole ashes situation:
1)Which cask actually had the ashes in in the end - presumably the one that Baxter found, but where did they find it? 2) Why did Duncan put some soot in a cask (just before the pink dressing gown bit)? 3) Did Paul actually think that the ashes were in the cask that Ewan handed him and what was actually in that cask?
Just watched this epi for the first time. I'm not sure you still want the answers, but I'll just answer the questions I know.
1. It's the one that Charles came with when all the Mc. Donalds went to the MacLeish. They found it in the Laird's office, when Charles was first talking with the film crew, the camera man foud it I believe.
2. I have no idea....
3. Yes, I think he did although I'm not entirely sure. Ewan was doing some ashes in it from a fireplace, to clean up I guess, you see it just before Ewan is handing the cask.
I also have a question. Why doens't want Golly Duncan and Jess to be a pair? I might be so stupid, but for the life of me I can't think why???
