Aww, no memories for poor old Golly?!
Series 1 he starts off as this old rogue with a baseball hat who seems to be sleeping with all the womenfolk of Glenbogle! He moves from house to house after dark keep the ladies happy ;D He calms down later on, falling first for Irene (but losing out to Duncan), and then Meg. But sadly for Golly she died giving birth to their son Cameron. Of course the memory that really sticks out is Molly and Golly finally getting together in the final ever episode, how sweet
Of course there were many funny moments along the way, mostly with Duncan, almost a surrogate son to Golly ;D
Hey!! I'm on here at last, like maddie says - at home after a day at work, not getting in until 6pm is a bit of a bind It's strange that sometimes my office pc will 'let me in' to Bogliedom and then, like today, it just will not allow me to enter proboards. Pff.. then this evening I've had the enjoyable task of writing Christmas cards out - hopefully I'll get them posted tomorrow. But here I am now!! ;D
Our dear Golly, I'm sure Lesley would tell you a thing or two about Golly but she's celebrating her birthday today
I much preferred the 'man of the land' Golly in the first few series before he started to become a bit of a softee. He could say a million words with just one frown and grunt, his expressions said it all, a man not to be crossed!
I remember him dating Irene, taking her to that disco in his new set of clothes and then having a race with that cocky youngster.. what did he say .. something like "youth is no match for experience?" after he'd put that apple into the car's exhaust, classic ;D

Oh yes, Golly and the youth in the car was a classic moment ;D Good old Golly. I think Golly became a softee as you call him Marie in the later series after he was joined by his daughter Jess, he suddenly had more responsibilities and he realised what a poor job he'd made as a father up to that point. I thought Golly, Jess and Duncan made a great team, I'd definitely hire them to run my estate if I had an estate like that ;D
I re-watched the episode yesterday were we first get to see Jessica (series 3 - episode 4) . A great episode btw and the scenes between Golly and Jess are just lovely . There are so many great Golly moments ... The opening of series 3 - episode 3 is another fun one . Golly is working at the river and Archie is taking snapshots of him working there . Archie tells Golly he's organising a fishing weekend for some paying guests , but Golly is worried about the dwindling amounts of fish in the river . After some more dialogue Archie says something like : "Oh , one more thing Golly ... Smile !" and takes another snapshot of him . (cue main titles) The expression on Golly's face had me in stitches ... ;D
