This is a difficult one as I think all four are great so I'm gonna have to incorporate two of them
1) Hector - he is the heart and sole of Monarch of the Glen, so so so funny and played by the wonderful Richard Briers 2) Ewan and Donald - these two were always best together, not as good alone. The contrast of young and old (like Paul and I ) was incredible and both provided constant laughs. 3) Kilwillie (series 1-3) - I didn't like Kilwillie as much when he was with Molly, but when with Hector, the laughs were endless
yes i have to agree. my favourite were hector, duncan and kilwillie too kilwillie was a really nice neighbor, duncan was a great friend to lexie when she needed someone to talk to and hector was just plain hilarious
1. Paul- well, that one's not too hard for me. He played the reluctant laird well, but it really became clear that he loved Glenbogle and would do anything for the place and the people.
2. Archie- It was obvious he loved Glenbogle, but it was also a burden for him. Sometimes I wished he wasn't so dense when it came to women. Although Paul was that way, too, a bit. He must've been to ever date the moronic Lucy.
3. Duncan- This was the hardest for me, and it was between him and Donald. I just really like the comic relief both characters lent to the show, but Duncan's physical comedy always cracks me up.
