Well it's now after midnight in UK so I shall start this thread in a way that Monarch of the Glen started with Hector tearing off after Big Eric!! If he had not done this followed by his accident, Archie would not have been called up from London and I guess there would not have been a Monarch of the Glen!! So here in this hilarious episode [1:1] when Hector spotted Eric through a telescope, raced down stairs, still in his dressing gown, and out to the jetty where he nearly knocked Duncan into the Loch crying out "Out of my way"!!!!
Can't remember at this hour of the morning the episode number, but one of my fav moments...
The golf club one. When Hector and Kilwillie were playing golf and Hector pretended to 'find' the ball in the grass when in fact it was in the loch! and then the things he got up to when he and Golly attempted to win votes for chairman of the Golf Club - kidnapping that poor old boy in the wheelchair - running all over the place with him, after climbing through the window of the ward. The look on the matron's face! but she had a smile for Golly!

Yeah!!! We've started!
Here's my contribution -
Series 3 Episode 3. When Hector & Kilwillie were "locked" up in the cell next to Golly and Hector was trying to send Golly a message via morse code. Classic Hector moment!
That is a classic! As is the scene shortly after when Hector is trying to reach the keys to the cell door which are on a table opposite his cell. He manages to grab them but drops them before he gets them to the cell. Then Golly calmly opens his cell, picks up the keys and hands them to Hector saying "they never the lock the doors!" ;D Hector and Kilwillie had never even thought to just try the door
On my Advent Calendar I see Hector appearing at breakfast, dressed only in his tatty towel... And when Archie tells him he can't turn up dressed like that in front of a guest (Harold Xavier), well... You all know what Hector does!!!

It's nearly Christmas!!!!!!
I love the scene in S3 where Stella is explaining the estates expenditure, and she refers to sections of a pie chart as 'cheese'. She comes to section for the biscuits from Harrods, and Hector makes a remark like 'Cheese and biscuits? What's she talking about?'
