Just a couple of pictures of the garden, and I can't believe it's the middle of October with all the summer bedding still going strong. You watch now I've said that we'll probably get a frost that will kill the lot.
Our summer flowers are also still looking good and at the little maple bush there are coming new leaves. Typical that this happen in this time of the year. For the rest autumn colours appear and the lawn is full with fallen leaves. Again I've taken a lot of them away, and have to think at Erica at such moments, how she could mutter about all that work in the garden 'pottering' she called it
'pottering' is a commonly used word in the English language, Maddie, and has a habit of coming up in British programmes. I don't know if there is a formal definition but it means doing a bit of this and that rather than doing one concentrated job or going from one thing to another...
Such beautiful colours and photos! I'm yearning to paint again (and I don't mean the ceiling ) when I see such vibrant colours!
All our garden shrubs need a serious haircut, so overgrown and tall. I saw that the clematis montana odourata thinks it's Spring and has come out in bloom in places over the percola, and another deep red clematis. Not much more colour in our garden except some blueish Michaelmas daisies and a few fuchsias. But all beautiful though.
