I know the feeling Carolyn, my hearts really not into it nowadays ever since I lost my mum and dad. Some years I go to great pains in making the whole room look terrific and then the grown up kids don't have a chance to see it anyway - in a world of their own. So this year I've not put so much up. We do have Jeff's son and family coming on Boxing Day so that's given me a lift to make it fairly nice.
I'm still disappointed in my white tree. Okay so it's modern. But who wants modern, not me. I would have preferred to have kept my tatty, dishevelled old tree tree. Excuse me whilst I blow my nose..
Oh Marie, here have a hankie, have you thought about trying to get a tree in the sales, although ours was only £20 from the supermarket, a bargain that will last for quite a few years. My son and heir used to help with the decorations but now he is 12 I dont think its cool to decorate a tree. I do it for me mostly as I am the biggest kid I know. Only 10 more sleeps you know ;D
Marie, I have just noticed an optical illusion with your left hand picture in your banner: if I look close to it the circle colours appear to flash between two different colours but if I move further back the colours appear to move from left to right! Perhaps it's my eyesight or do others have the same effect?
