Thanks Marie - this is taken from the top floor of my office building and doesn't quite capture the beauty of the snow filled trees. Thankfully it has stopped snowing now at around 3 p.m. I think the streets will be more slush than snow by the time we get to go home. Unfortunately the trouble will come tomorrow when that slush turns to ice!!
I love the snow but only if you don't HAVE to go out other than to play in it ;o)
I got sent some photos of my great niece - Tegan Anne. If I've saved them properly the last one is her with her mouth wide open ready for her bottle. She is a greedy wee little thing and growing fast now, making up for lost time. - Sally (just downloaded by Marie on to Bogliedom)
OK after just having had a tutorial courtesy of Paul on Photobucket I thought I might try to post a photo of Aberdeen beach in the winter. I am going to see if I can get this printed off so that I can frame it.
Great picture Sally... it really looks cold there... I love it having been there many years ago... you could make it a little smaller either at your source (maybe?) or else you can do it quite easily in Photobucket using Edt and then Resize... let me know if you have a problem...
This is actually smaller than the original. A friend took it and one of our colleagues cut quite a bit off of it and put a black border around it, so that it is more like a long thin strip but I can't get it to show like this on here. It looks great when it is printed out on glossy paper. I only wish I could take photos like this. Need to practice I think. And now that you've given me some knowledge of photobucket I could start playing around.
Sally, lovely pics and your great niece is so lovely. I remember seeing the beach fronts similar to that when I lived in England as a young child. The beaches in New Zealand are so different. I must get around to posting some pics of them soon
I didn't take it Maddie, my colleague who is a very good photographer did. But it is panoramic. I don't know if you can make it out but in the distance there is a small lighthouse at the end of the land plus a larger one opposite it. Just in between there is where the ships all come into our very large harbour area at Aberdeen. It's my favourite spot for looking for dolphins/porpoises who often come out to play there.
It is a beautiful beach Lesley but very rarely do we have the weather to go in swimming (without wetsuits). However there have been a few summers over the past years where we have had the odd week where we can get our swimming costumes out!! I tell you, if we had the weather here this would be a great tourist trap!!
My favourite beach in the area though is actually at Balmedie if any of you ever get around to visiting this part of Scotland.

Your photos are great Sally!! I got really homesick when I saw the beach photo. When I was young, we used to go to the beach on our holidays and it so reminded me of our trips (thanks for the memories!). Your wee grand-neice is absolutely beautiful. She truely is grand! All the best, Jan
