Well Friday afternoon has rolled around again...during the week I watched Series 3 for the first time...so sad when Hector died and especially sad when Molly and Golly were sitting by his coffin. Golly was relaying the story about his boyhood and how he came to work at Glenbogle and he he was crying Oh my poor heart I cheated and had a midweek lie die
I have a stuffy head cold so will just vegetate in front of the tele tonight in between checking up on the board ;D
I take a delicious dark chocoalte A praline in my mouth and see before me the chocolate brown eyes of our dark haired laird. I admire his beautiful legs. No, he isn't wearing his jeans, neither his kilt !!! He's looking out of the window to what happens outside. He's walking further trying to avoid the buckets and other things which are standing there to catch waterdrups
gosh, my keyboard if full wif tsfokolat, anyone haf a tiffue for me ?
It's calm in the LieDie corner today ! No one another LD ?
A Paul LD perhaps ?
There's one scene that I really love to see : Archie ( of course he's in it ) and Paul and Useless ( cute little dog, he's making the scene a real Lie Die-er ) 'My brother is dead ' ( or did he say ' My father is dead ' can't remember ) Useless and Paul are playing and rolling over the floor, so cute ( the dog not Paul ! ) ( aww Marie ! don't throw BP's to me ! ) Archie vainly calling for Useless, who follows Paul ! great scene ( also .....caus Archie is in kilt )
If I remember correctly, the reason why HC wore those under his kilt during filming was to make sure that MOTG would remain "family viewing". So it was only him who did that -- I don't think it's turned into a national custom!
Hi it's Friday the first day of September and first day of spring for us lucky folk down here. Just been outside ghillieing around my quater acre section...unfortunately no Golly Oh well too fine for a lie die.
I see Archie repairing Katrina's croft, hitting with a hammer throug the window, as he's looking at Katrina and Bleu eye Fergal Poor Archie He has done his best to win her for him, but the only thing she does is playing with his feelings.
I know , I know Mariet that your opinion is different
but isn't he very gorgeous on that moment as usual
Well it's still Friday 1st., here and I am thinking of Archie and Lexie when they finally fall for each other on the hill top before their marriage and caused me to create an animation in the Fan Art of them - so, before it is too late, I must now have a lie die (swooning away on his bed!!!!)
when Paul puts on his g.grandfather's kilt for the first time and descends the staircase at Hogmanay, I will be waiting at the foot of the stairs to take him into the dance hall and we'll have a waltz together. Mmm.... I can hear the music playing...
Yes, Marie, one of my fav pieces of Scottish music which has a charm all of it's own - I could just see a happy Golly and Meg returning home from their West Coast holiday - one of the few times that Golly really looked happy ...........
Must take a lie die now .........
I believe the music was also called "The Eriskay Love Lilt" - not sure of the spelling (?) and I remember once asking a singer in a hotel dining room (upon request) to sing it and her reply was "Are you kidding?" I guess she had never heard of it!!
I hadn't realised just how beautiful the Monarch soundtrack actually was until I heard it 'on it's own'. I think previously I was more interested in what was going on in the programme than really listening to the music. Some are so magical and enchanting and some uplifting and jovial.
Ah yes Paul but Friday afternoon has rolled around again here in NZ.... just one more day of work next week then Hols . I'm going to rent out copies series 1&2 of MOTG and get them copied so that I can watch them again in my free time
