Vikki, We stayed two nights in Inverness on our trip through Scotland some years ago. It's a big city, nice for a walk. I loved walking along the river, where we stayed in a hotel, nearby the bridge. I can't remember the name of the hotel.
Sorry for dredging up this topic but my husband and I are moving to Inverness in the next few months.
I've been to Inverness many times and it is a lovely city. I play fiddle and used to be in the Oban Strathspey & Reel society, so I am looking forward to getting back into the folk scene. There's nothing like that here in Ayrshire, sadly.
My husband and I stayed at the Glen Mhor Hotel by the River Ness last year when he was on business in the area. It's a lovely old building.
We've been in Inverness in 2006 and also stayed in a hotel at the River Ness, but I cannot remember the name of the hotel. It was a very old building with a restaurant at the back of it. A lovely city it is and we really enjoyed the trip along the River Ness on our way to the Highlands
