Ok Maddie and Gayl, here it is, our wedding 12/24/71. Hard to believe it's been 40 years! My maid of honor was my lovely sister, Kathleen. It was a very small wedding, just 60 people, reception in the church, but memorable!
This has taken forever to get the right one. I hope this one is okay.
Lovely wedding Dress Nancy And what a wonderful Wedding Cake you had. We didn't have a wedding cake at all, and then to know my husband was ever a baker ! Youngest son, who is baker had made the Cake himself for their Wedding , and also for my eldest son. Recently he made one for good friends.
Thanks Maddie. I made the dress myself. We did the wedding 'on a shoestring' as we had just started working and didn't have a lot of money. I used to love to sew but got away from it when I was teaching and had very little time. Forty years later, I am still just as busy!
I hope you had a wonderful anniversary. We both seem to be very fortunate. I also hope your family health issues are improving.
Oh dear Maddie, I've just found this thread! Thank you for starting it. What lovely wedding photos. I think that fur on your dress really sets it off and makes it suitable for the season, you look beautiful.
And Nancy, such a great photo of you both, your gorgeous long hair and that red bow around your waist, so unusual.
Ok.. here's a photo of Jeff and myself, a fairly chilly day in September 2001..
Hello Mariet ! That's long ago we talked eachother on Bogliedom Gayls' wedding pictures are somewhere on the forum, I only can't find them anymore. Maybe Gayl herself can tell us where she posted them.
