Occasionally look through the Monarch of the Glen listings to see if there is anything interesting up for auction on ebay, and came across this signed picture of Rae Hendrie, Golly's daughter Jess, loads of Molly signatures but first one I have seen of Rae, she does not seem to get a mention very often wonder what she is up to these days? does anyone know.
Anyway link below and if I spot any other interesting items I will list them here:
Hi Marie thank you for asking, the Glenbogle two are fine, Bonnie continues to gain more confidence with her blindness she gets about well but sometimes gets carried away and then you hear a thud, when we go walk she leans on Clyde but as soon as he is off the lead he looks after number one. We go down to Ayr beach once a week and she loves it as it's a big open space and she can't bumb into anything. Hope you and your family are well, kind regards from Ayrshire.
I seem to recall Stephen that Rae had appeared in an episode of Sea of Souls as a hotel manager. I'm sure I posted about it here. It was interesting to see she and Dawn interacting as different characters. But I've slept since then so it could have been a dream? Glad to hear the Glenbogle Two are well, give em a hug for me. Was a year ago today that we met up in Falkirk and I got to hug them in person. Hope all is well!
Thanks Glenn Yes time does fly, we have booked our cottage near Plockton again this year which the dogs loved last year so might get around to re-viewing a few of my favourite episodes of Hamish McBeth. How are your plans going to live your dream, hope all is progressing as planned, we actually had snow here today in Ayr and I can't remember that happening when May is nearly upon us, last week it was recorded hotter here than in Turkey and today I took the dogs down the beach and the peak of the Isle of Arran were snow covered and by midday it came to the mainland, no wonder we all have colds and flu's. All the best Stephen.
we only have copies of it, im not saying how we got them .as there may have been issues with copyright. but it maybe that one of the production crew at the time working on MOTG did after speeking to two people about the program, the soundtrack may have cropped up in conversation. and shortly after two coppies may have been sent through the post.
I noticed this old 2004 Radio Times for sale with Tom Baker on the cover, but the cover made me think as it also contains an article about Boris Johnson, now wouldn't he make a great Laird, he certainly has got the manor and the haircut for the Laird of Glenbogle, he reminds me a little of Hector's mannerism's.
Hi there, this is a really old Boglie logging back, on after FAR too long ( I was one of the originals in 2006. ) Interesting and pleaseing to see that MOTG is still drawing interest from new Boglies. I can remember a time when it was a fight-to-the-death over items for sale on E Bay LOL.
I am lucky enough to own lots of memorabilia, and even more lucky to know the lovely Susan Hampshire personally. My price possession, never to be parted from, is the original painting of Molly, 'painted ' by Andrew . But I need to dispose of a lot of other MOTG things, as I have run out of space. I would prefer them to go to a 'proper Boglie ' so if anyone is interested in buying any direct before I put them on E Bay, please message me and I will let you know what I have.
I'm not sure what sort of items your looking for , your list is a bit vague. The sort of things I have are e.g.. Golly's field binoculars, His shaving soap dish and brush. His sporran,
Engraved wine glasses, given to cast members after final series.
An unopened bottle of whisky, specially made for series, with unique label. ( but I think that will go onto E bay because It's worth a lot. )
Several scripts of Susan's, with notes/ doodles on in her own hand.
Jewellery worn by Molly. And loads of rare photos, signed and other wise. And lots that I'd have to check on.
Ha ha, I was only pulling your leg, Carolyn; I knew that you didn't own the Big House, Gate Lodge, Donald's car or Katrina's cottage. That being said the engraved wine glasses sound like an interesting alternative.
The jewellery will probably go for good money too so I reckon that should be auctioned off like the whisky.
I have to admit I would really like Golly's Binoculars or Sporran. yeah the Sporran would be awesome. Also that bottle of whisky but it's probably too expensive for me. If you want to PM me your asking price for those previous two items that'd be great.
