I came across a great Scottish Film called Shell on DVD at the local boot sale, starring our own Sandy Morton it is about a remote Scottish Petrol Station and a young girl trapped their with her poorly dad (Sandy), some of the scenery shots are fantastic, well worth a watch if you get the chance, think it was made in 2007 and I found out that the Station was erected in a layby just for the film, could not find out the exact spot though. Someone told me it had been aired on TV in the past, anyway if you get chance have a look you won’t be dissappointed if only for the beautiful Scottish countryside.
Curiosity got the better of me so did a bit of research and found the Garage was purpose built for the film in a layby near a village called Badcaul not far from Ullapool on the banks of the Sea Loch Little Loch Broom.
Yes sorry my mistake it was made in 2012, the viewpoint I think is on the A832 just before you get Badcaul, a good excuse to go and see another beautiful part of Scotland? never realised there were two versions thats where I was getting mixed up with Sandy in the 2007 one, still a bit confused on that, was the same location used for both?
