Loved this film as much for the scenery as for the excellent movie itself, so while up in Gairloch a few weeks ago went to the trouble of finding out where this film was shot as I knew it was near. Turns out it was shot totally on a Lay-by overlooking Litle Loch Broom near a villlage called Badcaul about 30 miles North of Gairloch, took a bit of a chance with the weather but we were lucky and had four great days up there. Getting back to the film as I said it was filmed mainly at the lay-by, the Petrol Station / Garage was built totally from scratch, and when filmed was finished all was dismantled. The only remnant from the filming was possibly an old drum of heavy cable that must have rolled down the hill at the back.
Took some great photo's as you see below and if you have never seen the film it is a great watch from director Scott Graham made in 2012 starring Chloe Pirrie and Michael Smiley. The third pic is virtually the same as the DVD cover IMAGE.

Remember in one episode (season 6 ?) there was a bedraggled traveller, bit like a tramp, he was taken in by Paul and looked after. Turned out he was a member of the Royal Company of Archers from Dundonnel, which you pass a bit further up the coast from here.
